A first look at the 3D Basecamp 2016 Program

I am really, really looking forward to 3D Basecamp 2016. In fact, I’m willing to go out on a limb (again) and say that this will be the best 3D Basecamp ever. We’re rounding out a really exciting set of presentations and workshops for the event, and I’m happy to share a first look at the 3D Basecamp Program today.
There are so many great sessions in the works that I feel awkward only calling out a few. You should really check out the full program and speaker roster for yourself. Only you can say whether you’re more excited to see Daniel Tal, or Dave Richards, or Joshua Cohen, or Nick Sonder, or Jim Bissell, or Alex Hogrefe or… well, all the other SketchUp ninjas doing their thing in Steamboat Springs.
As you can see, we’ve organized Basecamp presentations and workshops into ‘tracks.’ Basically, we’ve grouped sessions that are relevant to a given profession/interest to help people organize their Basecamp experience.
One important distinction: sessions in different tracks are not mutually exclusive. In fact, we’ve specifically designed several sessions to fit well into a number of tracks. For instance, John Brock’s presentation “Down to the Details” will examine the principles of creating exact replica SketchUp models for residential builds, but John’s detailing workflow is also extremely relevant to carpenters, woodworkers, and kitchen & bath designers.
And here’s some more really great news. Due to the popularity of 3D Bootcamp (sold out in its debut!), we’ve decided to repeat the most popular Bootcamp training sessions at 3D Basecamp. 3D Bootcamp will still be much more hands-on and learning intensive, but now 3D Basecamp will feature a healthy dose of Push/Pulls as well. We’ll announce the exact training sessions on offer when the event schedule is finalized this spring.
We’re still rounding out a few more presentations and workshops, but if you’re attending the event and you like what you see here, expect to make some hard choices in June. If you’re not yet attending, better hurry and register now for 3D Basecamp 2016: it’s only a matter of time before our best event ever sells out!
Did you submit a presentation proposal for 3D Basecamp? We had a lot of interest in presenting for this event, and we had to make some tough choices. I hope you’ll still come to the event and introduce yourself. We’d love to learn more about how you’re saving the world with SketchUp!
